Hey Flower Friends!
Amber Mustain
FOUNDER, FLORIST, EDUCATOR
Hi, I'm Amber.
For over 25 years, flowers have been the thread running through my whole life — and honestly, I still find myself amazed at where this journey has taken me.
It started in my small hometown in Southeastern Colorado, in the most humble way possible, as the delivery driver. No matter the occasion, receiving flowers makes people smile, and I was so honored to be the one to deliver that joy to them. I worked at a few flower shops through college. I started by stocking vases, water plants, and processing flowers, but watched and learned everything I could along the way. I was always learning: the rhythm of the work, the seasons, varieties of flowers, the quiet magic of turning stems into something that makes a person catch their breath.
But after graduation, I knew I couldn’t sit in a cubicle with my marketing degree. I had something inside of me pulling me to see what I could accomplish in the floral world.
That pull led me to a high-end floral event company, where I was suddenly surrounded by some of the most talented people I'd ever met. They challenged me. They poured into me. They showed me what was possible when you refuse to stop learning.
Then my daughter was born, and something shifted the way it does when you become a mother. I wanted to build something of my own. So I took the leap and opened my own retail flower shop. Several years later, I followed the work I loved most and became a studio florist, pouring myself into weddings and events, into the biggest days of people's lives.
This career has been a dream come true.
I don't say that lightly. Every early morning, every bucket of blooms, every tearful bride — I'm grateful for all of it.

Along the way, my work found its way into national and local publications like Flutter Magazine, The Knot, and Rocky Mountain Bride — moments that still feel a little surreal when I stop to think about them. But if I'm honest, the recognition has never been the part that lights me up most
What lights me up is you.
Somewhere along this journey, I realized that while I love designing with flowers, what I love even more is teaching others to do the same. Teaching has always been part of who I am. I grew up in a family of educators, and there's something incredibly rewarding about watching someone discover they're capable of more than they ever imagined.
My favorite moments aren't just the beautiful bouquets or wedding installations. They're the texts filled with exclamation points after someone books their first wedding. They're the messages that say, "I finally did it!" They're the moments when self-doubt gives way to confidence, fear is replaced with excitement, and a dream that once felt impossible suddenly becomes real.
That's the heart behind everything I create.
Whether we're working side by side in a hands-on workshop like Root and Bloom, walking step by step through building your business inside one of my courses, or going deep together through one-on-one mentorship, my goal is always the same: to give you the knowledge, encouragement, and confidence that others so generously gave me. I want to shorten your learning curve, cheer you on through the hard parts, and remind you that you don't have to figure this out on your own.
Because someone once believed in me.
Now, it's my turn to believe in you.
